Shouldn't we add a default behaviour in case the api is not responding/not callable for whatever reason? Like adding a simple link with the doi url?

I think it might be the only class in met4j that can't be used offline (I think?) so it might be good to left this option open

I added the default behaviour if no details are found from the api. The citations are replaced with the url. The call is done a single time during instantiation to avoid multiple unsuccessful API calls for each use of class getters

I also added some checks for deprecated synthax
